Scout Camp

Immediately following our arrival home from the hospital, Connor left to go to Scout (Day) Camp. He did it for three days and had THE BEST TIME EVER!

He did a ton of stuff his favorites were; shooting trophies (cans) with bb guns, archery, FISHING (he has been dying to go fishing for the last couple years), and the hike through the creek. He hated the last day service project of landscaping but did it all the same (and of course his Mom suggested him wear sweatpants -as recommended- and no one else did. That was also the day he hiked through the creek so they were soaked). He also secretly loved getting to go early with his friend, Carson, from church and his Mom who was helping run it, so he got to just run around and play for an extra hour or two before and after each day as they "helped" set up and clean up.

My heart died a little when he told me "I can't wait till next year"...considering with Church changes scouts was ending, and activities like these, with it. Hopefully something similar will be done instead. It really is special to these boys and such a range of activities and new experiences.

Fortunately I got forwarded a few pictures from his adventures at scout camp, he is in some but not all of them but I wanted to show some of his favorite activities. I really wished I had been there to record my pictures of him. But I was in recovery mode and Shea was taking the lead on the home front. Either way he had a great time and enjoyed the time to do something just him with all boys!

 Connor and Carson

I actually couldn't find Connor in any of the group shots...
he is probably lying down in the back.
