38 Weeks |
{July 19th}
Doctor Update: 3-4 cm dilated, -2 station, 50% effaced... of course now there is progress; when I am not ready and wanting to wait. Lucky me baby is still posterior. My midwife told me another position, but warned me it could bring on labor if he gets into position quick enough. Basically it involved me leaning off the bed so my head was all the way down and my butt was in the air; baby I guess should get uncomfortable and spin around. Shea has to hold me in the position for as long as I can do it for. Which sounds way uncomfortable to me. I doubt we will be going there anytime soon.
I left with my midwife warning me to call her if even the contractions are 10 mins apart and not to worry if they stop. Since 2 out of my 3 midwives live pretty far away so they need ample time to get to the hospital. Which was confusing as I was driving home; would that mean if they did stop they would bring on labor anyway since I am "very favorable" or that they don't mind going home and it all being a false alarm...
That night I started having irregular contractions but consistent enough I download an app on my phone and start freaking out a little. I've always heard you can't sleep through "real" contractions so I decide to finally just sleep. Fortunately it is just a false alarm and I sleep through the night just fine. In the morning after breakfast they do come back though...
*Well I am officially hoping and praying baby waits. Family is gone till the 24th!*
We do have a back up plan but I'd rather not stress about it all. Piper is still so young and Sydney and her are nervous around anyone they don't know.
