Piper Scarlet Stanger
You'd think with Baby #4 I'd be patient and the time would go by faster than ever, but for me I counted the weeks and eagerly and impatiently awaited her arrival, with each passing week giving me a little victory. My pregnancy this time around was the hardest yet so maybe that had something to do with how slowly time seemed to pass. I took it a lot easier with Piper and since I didn't get out much, I spent a lot of time imagining and relishing our soon to be life with our 3 little girls as big brother leads the way.
My Due Date was February 14th, Valentine's Day, which was kind of fun; even though we expected she'd come sooner, no matter what. I was scheduled to be induced February 10th, but after a long 20 hrs in the hospital I showed no progress and we went home hopelessly longing to hold our baby girl. Fortunately, it wasn't too much longer of playing the waiting game. My water broke early on Monday, February 15th. Late that afternoon we welcomed our gorgeous Piper to the world. We couldn't have been filled with more love and relief that our baby girl was now here healthy and happy.

and was 20 inches long
It is one of life's greatest miracles birth but even greater is how fast you fall in love with this new sweet babe, and more so than ever I have felt that personally and I think our family has as a whole. She is just adored every day and even though she has kept us up for the most nights as we adjust, I literally fall in love all over again as I cradle her in those wee hours. It is hard to describe how happy we are because there simply are no words.
