Stomach Flu

Remember when I spent the night before Valentines Day up ALL night (8 hrs worth) with what I thought was Food Poisoning. I woke much better but I was in no condition to put on the Valentine's Day Party I had organized. So I let everyone I could know and then after dropping off Connor, Shea took all my supplies and the girls to the Church he even dropped off some clothes we were giving to a friend. He is awesome and was luckily home that day and the next anyway. The girls had a blast and all was well.
The next day we did a mini Piper celebration since her party was Saturday and I wasn't up for much.
Everyone still seemed fine. We woke to Piper screaming covered in ... puke... Shea did all the clean up but I felt like the worst mother in the world. Especially after learning that Connor apparently left his sister in the middle of the night becuase she was coughing so much. I wish I could say I slept through the baby monitor. But in reality I had selfishly turned it off in hopes of getting an uninterrupted sleep after being so sick (Piper often wakes and stirs and whines a minute or three and then goes back to sleep). Of course the one time when I should have had it on to rescue her, it was off. Shea was off to work and to our suprise Piper was happy go lucky all day; chasing, playing, laughing. She seemed her normal self, so I chalked it up to too much chicken the night before.
Unfortunately that wasn't the case because the next night Bella was restless and in the morning she said her stomach hurt and sure enough she ended up like this ALL day...

It was horrible watching this girl have it soo bad every five or ten minutes she needed the bucket and she kept saying "when will it stop", "why is this happening", "I can't do it", "please let it be over".
And after 11 hours it was.
Piper had a random episode in the mix too, so I guess she wasn't done?

And right on the dot Sydney began. With laughter at first. She had never thrown up and thought it was funny. She took a nice bath and was fine with being sick. But after a few more times that all changed.
Fortunately she didn't have it as bad and hers only lasted 4 hours.

Shea was on kid sick duty that night and I switched him at 3:30 AM just in time to catch the tail end of Connor just beginning.
Yep it was like the plague had swept through.
Connor fortunately had only one episode and was done and after stomach cramps and some false alarms and pure exhaustion he happily slept off and on all day.

We are all so glad it's over. Shea seemed to get a bit of it too but it might just have been uneasiness from being around it all. We took some time to recover and we are just glad it was quick and that we could move on to start planning Piper's Birthday Party that had to be postponed till next week.
