Best Friend

This is Ryan.
Connor never skips a beat when people ask him "Who is your best friend?"
RYAN is Connor's BEST FRIEND.
The first time they met was when Connor was playing at the park next to our house.

Then it turned out they were in the same Kindergarten class and he lived just a couple streets over from where we lived at the time. 

We played at the park often that year and he always came out to play, his house was right next to the playground. 

Connor talked about Ryan everyday and wanted to do everything with him.

The first person Connor wanted to invite to his Birthday party was Ryan. 

He picked Ryan to buddy with on field trips everytime. 

The most heart breaking part about First Grade was that Ryan was not in his class. 

But fortunately they had Specials, Lunch, and Recess. 

So we still heard about Ryan everyday because they played together everyday.

If the weather is good every Friday we try to go to the park next to Ryan and play for a bit.

Recently, Connor mentioned how Ryan couldn't run at recess because he had brain surgery since he had a brain bleed. 

Connor wanted to do something special for him so he wrote him a note and picked out a few of his action figures to give him. 

We put them in a baggy and took them to him the next day and he was SO happy. 

And Connor promptly said "Mom aren't you going to take a picture of me and my best friend?"

These two make me smile.
