SHHH ... It is the Library!

Well I probably should have done this forever ago, but with two little ones that are known for their escape routines I have never worked up the courage to venture to the library alone.

So while my sister is in town we decided to take on the challenge.

It did not go as planned. And we wore out our lips with the amount of SHHH's we were throwing at these two, but it was fun and they both had fun moments :) Apperently they canceled storytime so that was a bust, so we made our own storytime and enjoyed every bit of reading to these little "bookworms" (I wish ...). Bella did decide to take over and start reading to me, I loved it for the two seconds it lasted :)

Connor was a busy boy finding stories, listening to books, playing, and rocking in the cool little chairs. They even had some simple computer reading games he tried to play. I cannot believe how old he is getting and it just makes me sad thinking of how fast each stage passes before the next one sets in.

Bella wore out quick and was ready to climb, escape, and shout "NO" at every turn. We did our best trying to distract her in any way we could think of.

So we were home soon enough, and these two crawled into Mommy and Daddy's bed for a much needed nap.

I will not be going alone anytime soon, so Shea will be my favorite library buddy when Amberlee leaves. In fact we all had a little outing today. It was quick and the kids didn't want to leave, so we made an EPIC exit with a tantrum throwing Bella and a bribed Connor in tow. Daddy's favorite part was discovering that "I SPY" books are perfect for our curious Connor!

Ice Cream Destination

While Amberlee was visiting one of our favorite things to do was go on walks with Bella and Connor. They loved it and we went on lots. One night we decided to drag Ryan along too, and we walked to Reed's Dairy. They sell dairy products along with homemade ice cream! Connor even got to have his very own, Bella on the other hand was our main sharer. But I was so proud of Connor he picked and finished his Cotton Candy ice cream, cone and all. He was so cute and absolutely loved it. Bella was only in on it for the exploration ...

It was a quite a little adventure and we all enjoyed the special treat as we walked home!

Ready, Set, STRIKE!

Before Amberlee and Ryan headed back to the great state of MD we farwelled them with a trip out bowling and mini golfing. It was a lot of fun and we were surprised at how well both Bella and Connor did. Connor is improving enormously with learning to wait your turn. He was in love with bowling but after thr first game he was ready for a few rounds of mini golf. He was a happy boy! Bella was tired and a little scared of the bowling, so she was content to be coddled.

I am kind of in love with this picture because it sums up our little boy; so curious, too excited to sit back, and his love for new adventures.

He was in LOVE with his ball. Practically wanted to take it home with us. Holding it while he waited for his turn was one of my favorite parts, that and his "Good try Mom, but you misseds."

Bella played with Daddy the whole time; talking, giggling, hugging, and tickling.

I tried to get her to go out and bowl but she got so scared she crawled under the table and wouldn't come out no matter how much I begged.

We even got lunch, and Connor was EXTREMELY excited for the FRIES!

Can you tell this girl is hooked on Daddy?

And now you know why ...

Good thing she knows how to share, I love me some Bella hugs :)

This boy coudn't get enough of bowling ... until Daddy said "mini golf?"

While Daddy and Connor went off to have a quick mini golf round we finished the second game. Bella decided to watch some "SuperWhy!" while we bowled.

Finally Bella decided to face her fears and try it out ...

She was such a cutie the entire time :)

We decided to join Connor for ... Glow in the Dark Pirate Mini Golf ... Round 2! He was thrilled, and told us all what to do, he loved pointing out the holes before we got there. And is you didn't make it he helped you out a little, with a hole in one :)

I think our farwell adventure was a success, and although we weren't happy to say goodbyes it was good to have so many happy times to look back on!

Sister Shoot

While my sister, Amberlee, stayed with us in Idaho for the last few weeks we planned a little photo shoot for fun. I am an ameatuer with my only resource my instagram phone camera. So Amberlee had to endure me looking like a crazy! We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. It was such a perfect day for pictures too.
Love you Amberlee. We are all missing you now :)
