SHHH ... It is the Library!

Well I probably should have done this forever ago, but with two little ones that are known for their escape routines I have never worked up the courage to venture to the library alone.

So while my sister is in town we decided to take on the challenge.

It did not go as planned. And we wore out our lips with the amount of SHHH's we were throwing at these two, but it was fun and they both had fun moments :) Apperently they canceled storytime so that was a bust, so we made our own storytime and enjoyed every bit of reading to these little "bookworms" (I wish ...). Bella did decide to take over and start reading to me, I loved it for the two seconds it lasted :)

 

Connor was a busy boy finding stories, listening to books, playing, and rocking in the cool little chairs. They even had some simple computer reading games he tried to play. I cannot believe how old he is getting and it just makes me sad thinking of how fast each stage passes before the next one sets in.

Bella wore out quick and was ready to climb, escape, and shout "NO" at every turn. We did our best trying to distract her in any way we could think of.

So we were home soon enough, and these two crawled into Mommy and Daddy's bed for a much needed nap.

I will not be going alone anytime soon, so Shea will be my favorite library buddy when Amberlee leaves. In fact we all had a little outing today. It was quick and the kids didn't want to leave, so we made an EPIC exit with a tantrum throwing Bella and a bribed Connor in tow. Daddy's favorite part was discovering that "I SPY" books are perfect for our curious Connor!
