DC Cherry Blossums

One weekend we decided to join the Martin's and walk along the tidal basin in DC, enjoying the Cherry Blossoms.
Sydney of course was playing in dirt and throwing rocks in the water.
Connor was sticking his tongue out and kicking things mostly.
Bella was modeling and being a bit moody, as is the norm.
Piper was just plain happy.

We saw the Jefferson and Washington Memorial, taking the chance to expose the kids to this amazing history while we are east side is something I try not to miss out on.
(Of course the history of it all was lost in the awe of the big tidal basin and the massive stairs.)

Of course as we ended a marathon was beginning and we had to make a mad dash across it to get to our car. So that was an experience to remember; with a stroller, pregnant mama, 4 children (one sleeping), and about one second intervals to make it across. Shea and I both made it though! Shea having to go back and forth a few time. But secretly I think he loved all the craziness of it! He overheard some teenagers trying to record us, in an effort to youtube our epic wipe outs I'm all too sure.

It was a gorgeous morning of cherry blossoms and basking in the beauty of the city.
