July 4th

We started off the day at the Martin's with red, white, and blue pancakes and fruit kabobs.

Amberlee delved into her face painting skills and we all got very festive!

I won't lie my favorite thing about 4th of July always was the Rexburg parade with the kids.
Now we are in Maryland and no good parades are around.
So we did our best to create our own, and yes we felt a bit silly but the kids LOVED it.
Well Connor was too embarrassed.

Then we headed over to our place for Shea to BBQ us up some DELICIOUS burgers.

And then we went back to the Martin's for the FAMOUS Flag cake and for Shea to give us a MAGNIFICENT (legal) Firework show (although we got quite a good illegal one from the neighbors as well)!
We oohed and aahed and (screamed and cried if your Piper and Syd).
It was very impressive, Shea had now been deemed the honorary firework show master.
Which he loves and has missed over the years.
He was begging to do fireworks, I am so glad it worked out so well.

Then we ended the night snuggling sleeping kids and watching Independence Day.

It was as perfect as perfect could be.
