First Soccer Season

Connor and Bella completed their first official sport season this year.
They got to be on the same team, which was especially nice for Mom and Dad.
Connor and Bella both loved practice and games and hated if they missed or it was canceled.

Bella was a natural and although she was the smallest she was brave.
We got many comments over the season about her tiny but fierce roll on the team.
We loved overhearing people talk about her and how tough she was. She took a few rough kicks in the face and body and just shook it off.
One lady came up afterwards and told us how impressed she was with her because she was so small but was so aggressive!
Go girl!
She also proved to be hilarious as she danced around the field and whenever she was goalie she enjoyed trying to get her hair caught in the net more than anything!
She sure made us proud and laugh a lot!

Connor loves sports and being on a team.
He seemed to make friends the first day and loved playing and chatting with them even if it was on the sidelines which sometimes he preferred.
When he wanted to he could kick really hard.
Connor loved getting to throw the ball in after a foul and always volunteered!
He was nervous about getting too aggressive and enjoyed playing goalie.
He took everything very seriously and on more than one occasion after Shea was giving him a little advice before/during a game; like, "try to run with the ball this time bud", he'd take it very personally and would tell him to stop because it was stressing him out or making him nervous.
Connor was full of excitement for each one of his teams successes and loved talking about them after. Along with listing his injuries.
We are sure proud of this man and his love for his team.

It was a fun first season and we loved cheering our sports stars on!
Sideline Stars:

The best memory I have of my brothers soccer seasons growing up was the pizza party that my Dad through every year, he was the coach and through it for the whole team at pizza hut. Maybe it was my favorite part because I didn't play but I wanted to keep the memory alive and so with our little soccer stars I wanted to give them a pizza party to celebrate their season too!
And it was a big hit!
