HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR!
Connor gave us all a persistent reminder that he wanted breakfast in bed and as promised we delivered.
He was elated!
Connor's other request was a Minecraft Dragon Cake.
Which we decided was this...
Which the help of my Mom's frosting skills was a lot of fun to make and we were VERY proud! |
Fortunately Connor thought it was just as awesome as we did!
And as always Connor's favorite part of cake time was the singing and blowing part.
And shortly after came presents.
Which was fun considering he had been more particular than normal about what he wanted.
He asked for a fidget spinner, Basketball shoes, an electric pencil sharpener, the Minecraft handbook, and knee high (sports) socks. He was immensely excited about and happy with each and every present and is probably the only boy that LOVES getting clothes for presents! He was stoked with the Nike shoes and shirts Grandma and Grandpa Stanger got him and was over the moon for the Shark Beach Towel and Sunglasses from Nana, he even was excited for the over sized Redskins Jersey (which will be a night shirt for quite a while - clearance baby).
A couple nights before his birthday he became obsessed with getting the Plants VS Zombies Game for Xbox, which I told him wouldn't happen because his presents were already bought.
But surprise surprise we gave in.
Since we had just bought it on Xbox we made the fake case and it ended up being quite the gag gift.
"So what do you think of all your presents?"
SUCCESS!
After presents we did cards and the Singing Spongebob one from the Martins stole the show!
(It's months later and we are still listening to it, although I am imagining it may be taking an unplanned trip to the garbage soon enough...)
Connor got to pick dinner out, and he picked Olive Garden... so he could play on the table tablet. And since we all love eating there we readily agreed.
And his biggest request for his birthday was to see CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS.
Which was Sold Out and caused a wrench in our plans, but we made it happen no matter what.
And the Martin Family came with us... (What Troopers)!
It was quite the special day, for quite the special boy!
