Tree Trimming

Truth be told she rarely ever cared about the tree!
Best baby ever!

Before Trimming the Tree we had to actually find one. And we had a lot of fun looking. It was Shea's year to pick and he was picky! Other than Douglas Fir he couldn't decide. Finally Connor helped him out and picked the perfect one!

Holding out our feet on the hay ride
is me and Connor's favorite part.

She was on a pinecone search,
and it was serious business!

Attempting a family picture...

...

Daddy wanted it up right away and
put lights on the next day.

"Oh Christmas Tree"

Shea also picked new ornaments and it took him a little time to find the ones he wanted but soon enough we were ready to start our trimming. Unfortunately Sydney was SICK so she was exhausted just by the look of it all. But still was a good sport. This year everybody enjoyed the trimming quite a lot and were really into it. The kids especially loved having their own color to decorate with. Although afterwards we definitely could tell who was trimming where, but a few days later and our delightful tree trimmers had rearranged things so much that the spotiness orginally was barely noticeable.

These two were obsessed with the STAR!

OBSESSED
So they were not happy when Dad got to put it up!
(Dad's obsessed too!)

Best sport ever. She was so sick with a terrible
cold and fever and tried her best to decorate but
got worn out right away. Sweetest thing ever, she
wanted me to hold her but I had to be decorating.

Content to admire the ornaments.

Connor surprised me and was super into it this year,
having them each have a color to decorate was a
fun idea and for some reason I think it brought out
his competitive side but either way he loved it.

There is something magical about having a Christmas Tree all decorated to admire and I love having each child ask about special ornaments or getting to add their own. I love it all. My favorite part of Christmas may be the tree!

Now we are greatly enjoying the Christmas tree light glow, every night.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT.
