Part of the SIXES

CONNOR IS OFFICIALLY SIX!
He has been waiting to be SIX for quite awhile.

We started his day with birthday muffins...

MOM AND DAD TOTALLY SURPRISED CONNOR WITH MCDONALD'S AT SCHOOL!!

HE loved his birthday crown from his teacher!
We had a family dinner at IHOP, funny face pancake for dinner and all.
Then we had cake and presents.

It took him about 6 seconds to open them all...

And he was definitely pleased. With a party in the works for the next day Mom and Dad didn't have money for much but he did get spoiled by the rest of his family, THANK YOU STANGERS AND MARTINS! It was a success!

Saturday
This was our first FRIEND PARTY.
Connor had been begging for one at Chuck E Cheese's since February when another boy in his class had one and he wasn't invited. Shea and I talked a lot about it. I honestly was not really on board but Shea was insistent and Connor obviously over heard us talking about it a few times and about how we will see how much money it was and such.
Well one day Connor came home with these and told me he had made and handed out his own invitations so we didn't have to pay for that. That about made my heart burst. And on the spot I promised this boy a party.
Obviously this wont be an every year thing but maybe every few years we will have a FRIEND PARTY too.

"your invidd Ryan"
This year as promised it was at CHUCK E CHEESES and he loved every second.
He got to invite 6 friends from school, his whole church class, and of course his sister Bella (who was stoked), it took forever for RSVPS but last minute we finally got 3 boys from school and 2 girls from church to come.
I was super stressed out of course but it all went fine and his friends were adorable!

The Boys...

Bella was OBSESSED with the baby rides.
She rode this about 10 times...

Even Uncle Joe got to come!

Say Cheese ...  and look at Mom!?!

His party was quite a hit and I enjoyed getting to know a few other Mom's!

I'll be honest both days Connor was so unlike himself filled with exhaustion, birthday boss-ness, and 6 million times more attitude. I was having serious trouble coping.
But we made it through and he had a great SIXTH BIRTHDAY!

So what's the best part about being SIX?
"I get to be part of the SIXES at school!"
So there you have it.
