Field Trip with Mommy

Connor had his first Field Trip this week. It was to Summer's Farm. Which was quite a place. I am so glad I was able to go and spend the day with Connor and his class. I didn't realize how much work it was going to be, it was a high speed adventure to say the least. And gave me quite the work out.

First we all met in Connor's classroom and got our groups. Connor got to pick one person for his group and then the rest were assigned. Connor picked Caelee. And as you can tell through the pictures, they are most definitely buddies.

Connor loved the bus! It was his first bus ride, because I drive him everyday. So it was pretty exciting and BUMPY!

Then we got in a long line for the hay ride around the farm.

Connor sported a good face but was not happy to play throw the hay in every one's faces like everyone else was doing.

Then everyone got to play on the haystacks.

And go down the slides.

Then we learned how pumpkins are planted and grown, from Farmer Joe.

Then we looked at the animals and were allowed to pet them (probably the least exciting part of the trip for Connor, he just said they were dirty and stinky).

The baby chicks were kinda cute though :)
These three are the best of friends, they saw each other and ran and all hugged and it was the sweetest thing. Of course I caught a picture right afterwards when Cayden (Caelee's brother) was running back to his class. He is in a different kindergarten class and Connor and Caelee are in the same one.

THEN the real fun started and it was a free for all for the rest of the time and as the kids raced off the chaperones were told to keep to their groups. Which was vastly easier said then done. But we had a lot of fun and I had a little help.

Their were tons of activities for the kids I got a few pictures but missed half of them. It was an amazing farm for kids I was shocked with how much their was.

Mid-jump
Then it was time to pick pumpkins and apparently drop them hundreds of times as we walked up a large hill to the bus. Connor didn't drop his once though!

When we got back to school Connor and I got to eat our special lunch together (that Connor had shopped for and made us); beef jerky, apples, chocolate brownie cookies, and juice boxes.

Connor had half the day left so Mommy had to leave, but he got to show off his pumpkin first.

It was a great day!
