The Big 3-0!

Shea woke to three kids piling on top of him with Happy Birthday wishing and singing and loving.

After spending a morning being lazy (while the kids excitedly wrapped their little gifts for him) and enjoying a big long bath. He had a surprise for everyone.

He decided he wanted to spend his birthday at DAVE & BUSTERS. It was a bit of a drive but well worth it; with a quick and delicious lunch we were off to the real escapade, the arcade.

The kids, mainly Con and Bella, (Sydney was stuck in the stroller) had a great time playing games and taking turns and watching each other and cheering and laughing and collecting lots of tickets on our card so that Shea could spoil them with prizes from The Winners Circle. It was pretty much the sweetest thing ever.

The Martin's treated us out to Longhorn for dinner, Shea's #1 favorite restaurant. The Martin's also treated Shea to a special birthday cake! With 30 candles to top it off!

I think the kids were more excited then Shea to have him open up the presents they got him.

That morning the kids and I had thought of all the reasons we LOVE Shea and stuffed them into balloons, and that night everyone helped blow them up. So that at the end of the night Shea could POP them all and read all the reasons WE LOVE DADDY!

Shea loved it and obviously the kids were thrilled with a popping extravaganza! It was loud but a lot of fun, and hearing their reasons why they love their Daddy was a perfect end to the night.
... I love daddy because he's messy. I love daddy because he plays candy land. I love daddy because he snuggles. I love daddy's face. I love daddy even when he's stinky. I love daddy because he teases. I love daddy because he likes blue ...

It was quite a day. I wanted to do a whole bunch more for Shea but wasn't really up to it. But Shea admitted that honestly he couldn't of had a better birthday. And I'll admit it was pretty perfect.
