From Birthdays to Boise

Well this past week has definitely been a whirlwind. Shea's birthday was on the 12th, and he turned 24. He's getting pretty old. I tried to make his birthday very special, I love making a big deal about holidays and birthdays. He woke up to breakfast in bed, eggs and bacon, and then I gave him a card I made. When we were getting ready for the day Shea kept bugging me about what the surprise was and since it was his birthday I finally gave in, I told him the plan was to go to the arcade and then Sizzler for dinner. He loved the idea and we had tons of fun goofing around. When we got back we went over to his parents for cake, his favorite mousse cake. We had a blast!

We left for Boise the next day with Shea's family. Shea's Grandpa Stanger was turning 80 and family was all gathering to celebrate. The family all got together at the park for dinner, to play games, and to visit with each other. Meeting so many new people was kinda crazy but everyone was so friendly and welcoming that they made it easy for me. Then we had birthday cake and sang a special Happy Birthday to Shea's Grandpa. We spent about 4 days in Boise counting the days we arrived and left. Being in Boise was a nice break away from quiet Rexburg. I got to go shopping a lot which has been a bad hobby of mine that I am completely deprived of while living in Rexburg. And we couldn't pass up another arcade run, so we went to PoJo's. Shea won a ton of tickets and showed off his video gaming skills. Relaxing and simply being silly together was the best part of the vacation.

(Look at all the tickets Shea won, it was 530ish in total!)

(The prize that Shea won me- Snapper the Turtle)

(I thought this waterfountain at PoJo's was pretty awesome)

Now that were back home it just feels too quiet, but it wont be that way for long since kids will be coming up for school in a couple weeks. Not to mention that my brother, Ryan is coming for a visit in just two weeks!!
