september sundays

9/22

Dean struggled with belly troubles all through church, so I spent half of it rocking him and giving him belly massages as he nursed.
Then Daddy had to take over so I could tend to primary.

Beach Day

Our annual Martin Stanger Ocean City Trip Recap
Lunch at the Beach, Mini Golf, and Dead Freddies for Dinner

Dead Freddies is perfect for our kids, with the playground and outdoor seating
and we love it!
Even the tables in the sand is fun, it is our favorite discovery.

2 Months

Weight: 11 lbs 12 oz (19%)

Height: 23 in (25%)

Diaper Size 1

Clothes: 0-3

Eyes: Blue

As you can see Dean is given massive amounts of attention. Someone is always holding and loving on him. It is hard for us to put him down and give him tummy time.

Laughed for the first time.

Rolled over the first time, belly to back.

Drooling more and more. Please say no teeth yet!

Nursing a little weird. Not a great latch all the time. Spits up but only rarely, or when we give him formula.

Getting a little more alert.

Sleeps in his pack n play for a stretch of time (4-5 hrs), then wakes to nurse and I don’t usually put him back. Hoping his stretch of time lengthens naturally.

As long as he is moving he’s happy.

Likes the baby wrap and being held always.

Great Napper.

Swaddling calms him.

Introduced formula, he takes it but doesn’t like it. Used rarely.

Hates the bumbo, but Piper has found uses for it.

He tracks only Daddy with his eyes, I have gotten him to do it with me a couple times. But mostly I think our home is so busy he can't really track all the movement. So he just is content staring up at us instead.

Shea is still holding out hope his eyes which are a blue-ish right now stay looking more on the Daddy (Blue Gray) trend then getting more green and brown like the rest of the crew.

The sweet smell of baby breath and baby skin is one of my all time favorites, and I'm trying to soak it all in.

First Day Success!

Climbing the fence was apparently more fun then
going around...

Driving up to my kindergarten crying because she was confused and scared in the hallways made my heart race, but seeing big brother with his arm around her and whispering in her ear, while big sister watched for me and pointed to her to alert me; made me smile.

Proud of this school crew and their love and protection for eachother.

Weeping happy mama tears.

It is all going to be just fine!
