Water PLAY Day

To end summer and say goodbye to Uncle Ryan we had a big water party!
Amberlee helped me put together a water obstacle course that I thought would be fun for the kids.
I found a ton of ideas on Pinterest and it was fun to see it all come together.
I can't wait to do it again next year!

Obstacle #1
Blow 10 Bubbles

Obstacle #2
Crawl under the buckets of water without jostling them so they spill.

Obstacle #3
Use the squirt gun to shoot down the cup pyramid.

Obstacle #4
Get the Water balls in the Duck by carrying them on the Water Paddles or Hitting them in with the Water Paddles.

Obstacle #5
Put the full bucket of water on your head and carry it across the beam without spilling!

Obstacle #6
Have a go at Croquet, get your ball through real quick.

Obstacle #7
Jump through the sprinklers and crab walk across the slip n slide.

Obstacle #8
Jump in the pool! And Play!

Whoever finished got an ice cream sandwich! Which was very messy!
They loved it so much they went through again and again and we adults even attempted it too!

Piper enjoyed watching and even playing around a little in the water too.
She isn't a huge water fan so she was inclined to play after most of the water was gone.

We also played DRIP DRIP DROP! (Like Duck Duck Goose but with a soaked sponge!)
And had a mini Ice bucket challenge for everybody!
Which was a huge HYSTERICAL HIT!

We love and miss you already Ryan.
And same to you summer.

Moana in the Park

Okay this was so fun! I can't wait to do this next summer too! I am sure they did more but this was the only one we caught, and maybe this was just a fantastic one.
It is called Movies in the Park and we went to MOANA  (Which is pretty much the funnest movie ever!) there were all sorts of free activities, free cotton candy, free Rita's ice, a free book, making puppets and coloring and princess crowns and tons of fun dance numbers to watch, including Polynesian fire dancing!

IT was so Cool!

Of course the kids fell asleep for the movie but it was really fun and everyone did pretty well even on the walk back to the cars with everything in tow.

It really made my summer bucket list for next year!

From Idaho

We have been looking forward to some special visitors all summer long!
They came all the way from IDAHO!
At the end of July Uncle Garrett came home from his mission, and so Grandpa and Grandma Stanger and Uncle Cj and Uncle Garrett all planned a visit so we could see him and spend some precious time with everyone we miss so much!

We didn't do a whole lot, since well money is tight, but just playing games and hanging out with each other has been a lot of fun!

As always kids kept things very lively while...

Getting doughnuts,

Having tea parties,

Drawing sidewalk chalk,

Playing hopscotch,

Watching their favorite movie lately, TROLLS,

Bowling,

Doing Puzzles,

Feeding ducks,

Playing at the park,

Visiting history,

And especially while becoming BINGO experts!

And as always the hardest part was saying goodbye!

But since we are planning a big Christmas trip to Idaho this Winter it helps to ease things.
Connor and Bella like me to tell them all the fun things we are doing everyday until we leave so it may become quite the challenge as the days progress, but for now it is keeping the tears away.
It is so much harder to have someone leave then it is to do the leaving, although I will say both are hard.
