Sometimes.

Sometimes I wake up like this . . .

Sometimes I get a fat lip from refusing to use chap-stick . . .

Sometimes my camera gets taken hostage, and a "cheese" is the only demand . . .

Sometimes bottles are the only things that suffice . . .

Sometimes being photogenic doesn't come natural . . .

Sometimes it does . . .

Sometimes I eat healthy while in my undies . . .

Sometimes I make my own bed for sleeping . . .

Sometimes I make silly faces while rocking baby . . .

Sometimes I steal bites of brother's doughnut . . .

Sometimes the vacuum is my friend . . .

{this moment}

that's what DAD said...

D: Am I going to have to use the belt?

Context: Grocery shopping as a family.

Shea kept telling Connor to sit all the way down because he was going crazy in the cart. Connor hates having the cart seat belt on so it cracked me up when Shea threatened to use "the belt"! And Connor broke down in tears. Only meaning Connor really didn't want the seat belt on! But boy did we get a few looks. And I laughed hysterically.

Connor-isms

Our Con Man is
A little over two and a half now, 31 Months old.

Weight: 29.5 in
Height: 34.5 lbs

Playtime
Connor is 100% BOY!
Whether it is swords, guns, racing, football, basketball, or playing in the dirt/snow he is a rough and tumble little boy that enjoys nothing more then getting active playtime. His "ON" button never switches off.
He also loves playing games! Real games, like Yahtzee and Candy land. I wish we had more games for him but he enjoys throwing the dice and telling everyone when it is their turn. And were working on patience and waiting your turn is a great way to learn we've decided.
Hide and seek is a common occurrence in our house. He plays by himself too, "Where's Connor? ... (jump up) Right HERE!" He also likes to help Bella play, but Bella isn't too fond of being pushed into corners or having blankets thrown on top of her :)

LVE
My favorite thing about our Connor is his love for his sister. He leads her around the house by the hand, and gives her outburst hugs, he helps her during any type of play and is learning to share more each and every day. It is no surprise to most that he is working on being "gentle" because he is so tough he forgets lots that not everyone can play like him. But he is SO good about his "sorrys" and hugs, even if he needs a reminder sometimes.
He LOVES friends. Ever since we saw his cousin's JJ and Addie for Christmas, we daily hear ...
Connor "Want to go to JJ's house?"
Mommy "He lives in Pennsylvania, it is really far away."
Connor "Want to go to slyvenia really far away"
Yesterday at nursery he ran in and immediately said "ETHAN!" and ran to his friend and gave him a great big hug, it was heart melting.
I love all the kisses and love he gives freely and how excited he gets to greet Daddy home from work.

ARTSY
He likes to color with markers, colored pencils, and crayons. He likes to "do homework" like Daddy, with pencils and pens. He colors in certain areas, only the teeth or only the toes. Very particular.
He loves to use glue in our crafts, we try and do at least one craft a week. Play-doh is a daily activity and he gets better and better at using the play-doh rolling it and smashing it, making "heads" and "bugs" are his favorites.

SpEaKiNg
I eat it ALL the time! (Translation: I eat it all up.)
Gotta see this.
Time to go to work.
Sorry sister.
Thank you. Your velcome.
Sit by next to you.
Luv you.
Where's Joe? (This one breaks my heart. I hear it at least once a day. He misses his Uncle so much.)
Connor is talking and repeating things all the time. This is obviously not the extent of his language, but these are our daily favorites.

Yummies
These are a few foods he likes (some days) . . .
FROZEN Blueberries
Eggo Chocolate Chip Waffles
Carrots
Fresh Fruit, Apples/Bananas
Pizza
Fish
Anythings with syrup or ketchup. Corndogs/fries/Hash browns/Pancakes/Waffles
Yogurt
Cheese Sticks
Connor's appetite is unpredictable. Which is totally normal in two year old tykes. But it is a tad frustrating. Some days he will only snack, on plain wheat bread. Other days he gobbles everything I set in front of him and he can't get enough and eats Bella's portions too.

Outbursts and defiance seem to fill our days as we continue on with the terrible twos. But we are doing our very bestest and are enjoying our simple giggles and new discoveries as we figure out this world. I must say it is a challenge at times to keep up with his unlimited energy, but I love it and would have it no other way.

Convos with Connor

We enjoy all sorts of silly conversations with our Connor, as he discovers this world of language. Here are a few favorites as of late  . . .

Connor: Bella hide, hide!
(pulling her into the corner with him)
Connor: Hide Bella, come on!
Daddy: What are you hiding from?
Connor: Bad germs!

------------------------------------------

Connor: Oh no Mommy! Oh no!
Mommy: What's wrong?.
Connor: Kissing on lips!
Mommy: Ewww.
Connor: Ewww, Yucky! Really sukusting (Disgusting)

------------------------------------------

Connor: What are you doing?

Mommy: I am looking for something.
Connor: Oh. I am looking for something too.
Mommy: What are you looking for?
Connor: I am looking for you!

------------------------------------------

Mommy: Time for bed.

Connor: But brush!
Mommy: Okay brush your teeth.
...
Mommy: Time for bed.
Connor: But drink.
Mommy: Here is your sippy with water.
Connor: But books.
Mommy: Only one story tonight. It is late.
Connor: It's too late?
Mommy: Yes, so we need to hurry and fall asleep so we can get to dreamland on time.
Connor: But my dreams are scary.
Mommy: Oh I am sorry, lets think of good dreams you can have. Like, snowflakes falling in the house when it is warm. Or playing with doggies. Or being a monkey.
Connor: I'm not monkey!
Mommy: I know but you can dream you are.
Connor: I'm not monkey!
Mommy: Okay. No monkeys. Let's read our story.
...
Mommy: Okay time to go to sleep.
Connor: But I luv you.
Mommy: I love you too! Kisses.
Connor: Sleep with you, pleeeeeze! I STILL luv you!
Mommy: Fine.
