Orange and Slimy

Fall is my favorite time of the year. And October is a busy month for us if you haven't noticed!
We have been getting into the season, and decorated our house with a witch, Frankenstein, and a Connor  monster (that he made)!

It was a SCARY monster. He screamed every time he saw it!

Do you want to take a guess what our Monday Family Home Evening was...
 What is ORANGE and SLIMY?
...
Our Pumpkin Carving
Which went like this...

Daddy was the carver, Mommy was the seeder, Connor was the colorer, and Bella was the screamer.
Daddy did most of the work, and Mommy was focused on getting seeds ready for toasting, Connor enjoyed coloring on our stencils and Bella... well she just hated it all. Tired and totally uninterested. But the end result was . . .

Four Years and Still Crushing

On October 22, 2008 we were married for
time and all eternity,
in the Rexburg, Idaho Temple.

It has been 4 years since that day.
We have made many unforgettable memories. We have enjoyed perfect moments and glorious victories. We have endured tired struggles and rough times. Our lives are simple and I do not intend the times to get easier but as we build on our family we are enjoying more happiness than either of us could have ever hoped for.

Something brought us both to this tiny town of Rexburg and I am so grateful for that little something because it changed our lives in the best way, forever.

Dear Hubby,
Remember when we snuck glances at each other from afar, and we sat side by side giggling through our sunday lessons, and we kissed for the first time under the stars, and we ran back and forth from our next door apartments with shy smiles, and we snuggled and whispered "I Love You's" at midnight, and when you decided to stick around on your off track to greet me bright and early with treats before you left for work and I left for school, and when we got ice cream blizzards for serious talks, and when I rested my head on your shoulder the whole plane ride before we were separated all summer, and when you nervously asked me to look at diamonds hoping the one you had already chosen would be perfect, and when we danced in the middle of Nashville with moonlight and our reflection trickling by in the river, and we pranced around holding each other tight and proudly exclaiming "Fiance", and when we shed tears and held each other tight and said goodbyes.
Remember when we were sealed in white forever. I do :)
I love you. Thanks for making me a Mrs!
Love,
Wifey

FIRST Bella Birthday!

OCTOBER 20th of last year we got to meet our BELLA!

What a big girl she has become!

We celebrated with a PINK PARTY. Pink Cookies, Pink Milk, Pink Balloons, Pink Presents, AND a New Pink Party Dress.

Connor helped Bella open her presents she wasn't too into the unwrapping. But she enjoyed all her spoils. A Cinderella Baby Doll, Tangled Movie, Princess Board Book, Pull and Shape Ladybug, A Blue Elephant Stuffed Animal, New Shoes- Her First Ones, and some cutie clothes!

Connor begged for Bella to SHARE her cupcake.

It took her awhile to decide...

 But finally she graciously conceded.

After our guests left we watched Tangled, played with new toys and enjoyed stuffed snuggles.

Hooked on Tangled

It was a good Birth Day! Thanks Bella for joining our little family :)
We Love You!

Eleven and a Sippy

Update:
Our baby Bells is quite a shy princess. Strangers try to charm her with silly faces and sounds as they hope to bring her to smiles. And all that work is never in vain. She makes all their work worth it with a giggle or too. We are constantly told how beautiful she is, and we can't disagree. I am just in love with this little girl's contagious smile. She is definitely not as outgoing as Connor was, and takes some warming up before she is comfortable with a new face or place. So with her nervous and shy little nature comes a clingy, fussy girl. Fortunately, it doesn't take her long to fall for the people around her. Bella doesn't stray far from Mommy, and if she can't see me then you might hear a wail. Our baby bells is not itching for that freedom as Connor did from day 1, she is careful and calm. She takes her time and doesn't mind just sitting and playing or observing a new place. Bella is also very brave she likes being thrown in the air and tries to attack the vacuum and ride it, she doesn't mind the dark and intentionally crawls into Con's room and starts playing at night, or climbing in dark nooks. Tries to find ways around things: underneath, over, or around.
New Discoveries: Stairs, Using toys as stepping tools (not intentionally putting them as such but using them if they are there), Sipping Straws (which is why her straw sippy has become a hit),

Milestones
Movement:
WALKING! Just before 11 months she started getting braver, but throughout month 11 she has really started moving. It is fun to see our baby girl become that much more independent.
Standing up on her own. When she tips when she is walking she does a funny half somersault and stands up from there.
With all this new independence she has proved to be a drama queen. She needs LOTS of encouragement and stumbles need wholehearted hugs. She likes to hold your finger and let you lead her, so as to give her a little more stability. So if you lend a hand don't expect to see her walk all on her own anytime soon.
Clapping. I love her new discovery. After she walks or as she stands on her own she gives herself a little applause and I can't help but clap with her.
Food:
She enjoys baby food for breakfast and nurses for lunch and dinner. But has snacks in between. We are introducing milk and are having mixed results. And hoping for some consistency so we can wean her :) Her straw sippy is our biggest success this month!

LIKES
Running water
Brother love
Rolling around on Mommy and Daddy's bed, while Connor does tricks
Clapping
Her Ears!
Opening drawers
Playing with the remote control
Pulling all the wipes out of the container
Climbing up Connor's slide
Clicking her tongue, like Daddy taught her (it is a happy excited sign)
Singing, when Mommy sings or when she gets tired

DISLIKES
She is a pincher. So beware. (Mommy is her most common victim.) And Bella doesn't like to hear the word "no" or "ouch", it usually brings her to sniffles or tears.
We have tried milk just a little and she isn't a big fan, which worries me a little (I guess I should be grateful for water and solids)
She hates to be alone
Anything over her head or trapping her: blanket, hamper (Connor's doing), or the pack n' play
Strangers

Escaping our photo shoot . . .

to go play with brother's toys!

ROSIE

Ring Around the Rosie is a popular request by Connor.
"Rosie, rosie, rosie! PLEEEEZE"
We enjoyed a few games of it tonight, after a belated FHE :)
