UPDATE:
Weight: ~23 lbs
Height: ~28.5 inches
- He has become our little explorer, and most times that is not the funnest thing. He gets into bookshelves, pulls the printer off the shelf, opens drawers he can reach, pulls anything off the shelves he can reach, and on and on the list goes. So our baby proofing has now started. - One new development is Connor’s tantrums. Wahoo. I know this is the moment every parent waits for. And how lovely it is. This is how it goes I pull a crumpled book away from my quick little scooter and watch as he screams, bangs his head on the ground, throws his legs all over, kicks, pulls his own hair, pinches his own cheeks, and as much as it kills me I can’t help but think he is adorable (if only I could put him on mute). Don’t worry he never gets hurt through all his antics just cries it out for a minute or two and moves on to a new toy.
- He drinks water from a bottle really well now. Hates juice, which is good I guess because there is no sugar that way. At night he has started drinking water, no formula. He is doing better with his sippy cup.
- Pulls himself up on everything (but only at home)
- He is doing A LOT of cruising everywhere!
- Goes from all fours to sitting up position, all the time. Independent sitter!
- Shows interest in standing and walking with lots of help.
- Waves (with a little help, I have to hold his arm up and say “wave!” and he will clench and unclench his fist, I LOVE THIS)
- At the beginning of this month I would of said “No crawling… maybe he will skip to walking?” but April 11th he started to try the life on all fours out and he is getting quicker and quicker at it.
LIKES:
- His FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD right now is walking (with help) ALL THE TIME! He grabs both of our hands and just starts leading us. He has fits when we don’t do it when he wants to.
- His feet are still his friends, but they are getting less interesting now that he is pulling up and cruising!
- Ball! He likes to play ball with Mommy/Daddy, he only plays with his superman ball though. We roll it to him and he will try to roll/throw it back. And he does relatively well, still learning though. But he sure does LOVE it!
- Hide and seek, he plays with Daddy. Daddy hides behind the couch or chair and Connor will find him and get tickled.
- Likes Daddy to put him to sleep, better than Mommy (but it is okay, I need the extra time).
- Playing with BLOCKS, is his new love. Knocking down towers of them, and biting them. I hope to get some for his birthday.
DISLIKES:
- Being told “NO or BAD”, or being moved because he is in trouble, or seeing Mommy shake her head because he is being bad. He will cry sometimes, throw a fit, or just whimper and move on.

- Diaper changes are a screaming/chasing battle. I can only hope they get better before he is even more mobile.
- Waking up in his own bed, he throws a fit. He is determined to sleep with Mommy and Daddy despite our efforts. (With the next one I am determined to never start this trend!)
MOMMY AND DADDY’S FAVORITE CONNOR-ISMS:
- This is a recent development and he only does it to Mommy, but when I say “Connor NO! or Connor that is BAD!” He spits at me. I know in a few months this will annoy me and drive me crazy, but right now I can’t help but give a little smirk. He is too cute.
- When Daddy says “Connor NO! or Connor that is BAD!” Connor immediately falls to the ground in a plop and sighs, as if to say “Darn, Daddy caught me.”
- AND to prove that our baby is not only a trouble-maker he gives kisses and hugs to Mommy/Daddy now! WE LOVE IT!
- He pouts when Daddy says “Bye, Bye!” and leaves.
- Connor is VERY ticklish. He will stuff his mouth with his hands and squirm trying not to laugh. He is silly.
