The Beginning of Fall

With September not only comes the chills and thrills of Fall, but the drills and skills for school start to set in since it is the beginning of a new school year.

After Ryan left on his shuttle at 2am Shea and I made a late night trip to Walmart in IF (Idaho Falls-30mins away), for some school shopping. Shea had the idea to go when no one would be there, so what better time then 3 in the morning! It was actually a lot of fun. No one was awake and it was fun having the streets and place to ourselves. By the time we got back I was so awake from the chilly air -which frosted windshields and lawns- that it took me awhile to go to sleep.

Shea and I got really lucky this year because we didn't have to buy many books. Shea already had all his and I only had one to buy (although I bought a bunch of novels for classes already to read over the summer). All in all that made this year of school a lot less expensive.
Yesterday was the first day of school, fortunately we had our first class together, unfortunately it was Biology at 8am. Not to fun, but since were together it wont be too bad either. Shea started work yesterday too. He is working on campus at the computer help desk, not up front like before but downstairs in the "cave". He is answering phones and helping faculty and students with questions and concerns about technical difficulties.

This is my last semester so I am stoked to get done as soon as possible which is looking like Dec 18th right now. Graduation is coming up fast. I am excited to complete college and earn my Bachelors in English. Shea has a bit longer, with the mission and changing his major he is a bit behind. So hopefully things move along a little faster and smoother.

My brother, Ryan got home safe. It was a long trip and he was exhausted but it all turned out well. Now he is locked away studying for the ACT. Which he takes on Saturday. GOOD LUCK RYAN! And to my other brother I want to say HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY DANIEL, I wish you the best and I'm so proud of you!

These are some pictures of Shea and I on our way to class...

After school today we got ice cream and played in the park. Talking on the grass and swinging on the swings is one of my favorite things to do. It was a beautiful day!

Whirlwind

It has been crazy here for the last few weeks. My brother, Ryan, came to visit for about two weeks. And we had a ton of fun. I tried to plan something for everyday so you can imagine how hectic it was. Let me just go down the list of our activities; we went to a drive-in movie, we had a little bonfire where we had dinner and smores and starbursts, at our apt. we watched movies and played games and got a sugar rush, we went to The Craze Fun Zone and did laser tag and arcade games and minigolf and pool, and Ryan got to take a BYUI tour - which is nice since he's planning on going to school here after the mission. Ryan says it was like a party everyday, I think that was mostly because we let him eat junk food and play video games whenever he wanted. Either way it was a lot of fun and seeing Ryan was awesome. We miss you dude!

(The beginning of our fire!)

(We won lots of tickets!)

(Playing Pool)
(I wasn't that great at pool, Shea and I were on a team but both times Ryan won - the eight ball and I got a little too friendly)
(LASER TAG ROCKED!)
(Ryan had to leave at 2am to catch the shuttle to the airport in Salt Lake, so it was a late night. And right before Ryan left we got our alien parachuters that we won from the arcade and threw them off the football stadium, I know random but fun!)
(I know I look happy in this picture but our goodbyes were quick and quiet and sad...)

Time For A Change

I have been wanting short hair for a while now, but have hesitated since it would be such a big change. Shea was reluctant for the change, since he said my long hair was his favorite. Yesterday I finally made the plunge. I found a cute haircut that seemed fun and easy to work with and printed a pic so that who ever cut my hair would have an idea of what I was looking for.

(This pic is the one I found online of
the short hairstyle I was thinking...)

I was scared that it wouldn't come out right, or that I would hate how it looked on me. But I loved it. I think it came out really well. Shea even liked it! At church today we took a new picture since we are in charge of the photo directory... and I thought we deserved a new picture :)

(This is the best picture I could take of my hair. But it doesn't really do it justice. As you can tell I was a little picky with which picture I liked, and Shea got tired of taking pictures. )
